A Message from Our Principal

Carol Templeton.jpg

Dear Parents,

On behalf of St. Joseph Catholic School, I would like to thank you for your interest in our school.  St. Joseph Catholic School has been providing an excellent education to children for over 140 years.  We are proud of our traditions, Catholic identity, diversity, and outstanding reputation, but we also look forward to the excitement and challenges of education tomorrow's generation.

Here at St. Joseph Catholic School, we are committed to educating the "whole child": spiritually, intellectually, ethically, morally, socially and physically.  Central to the school's mission is the belief that the priority of Catholic education is to help students seek a deep and personal commitment to Jesus Christ.

The philosophy of St. Joseph Catholic School is to integrate sound Christian principles of faith and action within a rigorous academic program designed to meet the challenging demands of the 21st Century.  Individual differences and needs are kept at the forefront of every aspect of instruction.

Teaching the whole child requires the interaction of highly-dedicated and qualified faculty and staff that are committed to an appreciation of the dignity of each person.  Together, parents, teachers, administrators, and the Pastor combine the experiences of religious faith with living and learning to give children, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity and socioeconomic status, a complete education.  Here at St. Joseph Catholic School, education becomes a celebration of life and faith.

St. Joseph Catholic School is a vibrant, dynamic community of families of all faiths which educates and cares for children from age six weeks through eighth grade.  We have a wonderful parish that supports our school and models good stewardship, which allows our children to grow in their faith.

Today, parents are faced with the challenging task of choosing the right academic environment for their children.  This website has been designed to give you an insight into the life of St. Joseph Catholic School, and to provide you, the parent or legal guardian, the opportunity to make the best decision for your child.  I welcome the opportunity to meet with you, provide you with a tour of our facility, and to answer any questions you may have.

Respectfully,

Dr. Carol Templeton, Principal
